Oatfield Organics Rock Dust Supplier

Rock Dust is as the name suggests simply rock dust but the simplicity of the name belies what the product can do when used in a garden.

The Rock Dust acts as a very slow release fertiliser that contains 35 trace elements and 9 oxides vital to the health and growth of all plants. These trace elements are slowly released back into the soil increasing fertility and microbial activity which results in bigger, tastier crops and brighter, stronger flowers and shrubs.

It is a recognised organic product that has been certified by The Organic Farmers & Growers Scheme and also the Scottish Organic Producers Association.

Here at Oatfield Organics we have been using Rock Dust in the raised beds of our polytunnel with wonderful results. Our main crop of last year was salad leaves which we supplied to a local restaurant, the leaves were all vibrant and nutritious.

Totally organic and natural with 50 trace elements and minerals.

Rockdust - for garden soil, ½ a kilo per square metre or one bag per 40 square metres.

For compost heaps, ½ a kilo per every 6” layer.

For Potting compost ½ a kilo mixed with your potting compost does 20 litres of potting compost.

Rockmix - a mixture of Rockdust and an organic peat free compost. As a soil additive use 1cm over the active root area under each plant, or on top of the container.

For potting composts, mix 50/50 with your existing potting compost.

For fruit and veg a 20kg bag will treat 6 square metre of ground, apply every 2-3 years.

For flowers a 20kg bag will treat 15 square metres.

Do not add lime or calcium when using either of these products
